Hey loves! 🌞🌞
Surprise!! 🙆🏼 I have a double post for you all tonight! 👯 (unless you’ve already viewed my previous post then hey again 😁) So guys, this is definitely going to be a more personal post about my own body, but I thought it could help any of you out there who are wanting to be a healthier version of yourself! Now if you know me, you’ll know that I was never one to watch what I ate or never one who genuinely enjoyed exercising. I would always have to force myself to do it and majority of the time I wouldn’t finish through or I’d workout hard for a week and be mad I didn’t lose any weight 🙃 I feel like this is a common thing for a lot of people. So I thought it would be a good idea to show you a progress picture and tell you the things I’ve been doing that have worked for me this far. I am in no way saying you need to do these things or need to lose weight, I’m just sharing what I’ve seen success in!
Last year during this time I was at the heaviest weight I’ve ever been in my life and I felt like I blinked and all of a sudden I was 20 pounds heavier, no joke. It happened so quickly and I honestly don’t know how I even did it. I bought these jeans a month ago and now they’re big on me! I’m not sucking in, this is how my stomach is now. I can psychically see the change in my body and within myself. Let me tell you, this is the best feeling in the entire world, welllll… Not fitting into cute jeans kinda stinks but seeing progress is amazing!
Listen guys, I honestly don’t do anything crazy either because one I’m a broke college student and two I don’t have a lot of time between school, work, social activities, and my blog! so here’s my easy tips that can be followed everyday:
- Eat a breakfast, always! No excuses.
- Lower your sugar intake ( w coffee, tea, pop, snacks, etc.)
- Eat fiber, pooping is weight loss without doing anything! ( I read that in a post secret book) 💩
- Drink water, lots and lots of water.
- Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. 💤 You’ll have more energy throughout the day.
- Small lunches.
- Don’t eat past 7 pm.
- Don’t force food either, you’re not really that hungry. Eat slow, small bites. You’ll fill up quicker than you’d think.
- Learn the difference between being hungry vs being bored.
- Dark Chocolate >
- Fruit & veggies are your snacks.
- At least 30 mins of physical activity everyday… At least.
- Eat good all week, enjoy the weekend. You’ll notice your stomach has shrank.
- Stay away from processed foods.
- Take progress pictures.
- Love your body.
These are things that I’ve wrote down throughout the past month that I feel have genuinely helped me. I’m not kidding when I say I feel better when I eat better, I sleep better, I’m more energized, my skin clears up, my hair grows, and I’m honestly happier. It’s crazy! Don’t get me wrong, I have bad days where I feel like everything I wear just isn’t fitting me right, I’ll have those days where I’m not happy with myself. But I don’t let those negative thoughts over power all the good ones. I know it’s all in my head and that’s the most important thing to realize. Love your body even on those bad days, my dears. All these things I’m telling you are a lot easier than you’d think. Trust me, if I can do it so can you! I like to go out to South Park at least once a week to enjoy the outside. I plan on going more often once the weather breaks. When I got there I walk and jog the trail all the way, and I always feel it in my legs the next day! Push yourself, you can do more than you know!
Another tip I have is to wear a waist trainer while you’re working out/running! I got mine at Marshalls for $5.99, but I know they’re sold at other stores like Target, Walmart, or 5below. What they do is make your stomach sweat and it’s suppose to increase weight loss in that area. I normally don’t wear mine directly at my waist because that’s not a big target area on my body. I’ll wear mine around my lower half of my stomach so it targets my love handles instead which is something I want gone asap!
If you’re someone who doesn’t feel you have enough time to workout then do this, which you can do all these workout in your room easily! All you have to do is put a timer on for 30 seconds and for every 30 seconds do a quick workout like these ones:
- Squats
- Right donkey kicks
- Left donkey kicks
- Crunches
- Right Leg lift
- Left leg lift
- Push-ups or half push-ups
- Run in place
- Plank
- Squat again bc 🍑
If you do as many of these as you can within every 30 seconds it comes to a totally of 5 minutes and that’s a quick and easy completed workout that you’ll definitely feel the next day, I promise!
AlsoOOoOOOo.. Here’s an #ootd of my workout attire from when I took these pictures out at south park!
Pants: Marshalls ($10.00)
Sports bras: Marshalls
Shoes: Nike
Hair: Half of my hair is in a French braid and then I pulled all of my hair up into a high pony! So easy! 💁🏼
Okay guys, I’ve been working on this post for a few days and I hope you all feel inspired by what I have to say. You’re all perfect exactly how you are, don’t forget that. But hey, there’s nothing wrong with wanting to make yourself a healthier version of you! If you have indifferent thoughts on anything I’ve posted that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion! I just wanted to share with you all what has worked for me thus far so if you’re struggling with what to do as a college student in order to be healthier and to be more body confident when summer comes around, then try these tips out! I have before and after pictures of my body from last year to this year and if you’d like to see them then just ask me!
