Hey loves! 💛🌸🌻
How’s everyone’s Saturday? Good I hope! 😋 It was beautiful today! I hope everyone got a chance to be outside and enjoy the sunshine. I’m so excited we’re turning our clocks back this Sunday, I lovelovelove when it’s lighter outside longer! AnywhooOoOoO beauties, I have something fun and different for today’s post. It’s more of a beauty aspect! Let’s get started 🙆🏼
So girls, recently I’ve been obsessed with contouring my face whenever I do my make up because well.. I feel that it gives me shape and slims out my face. My entire life I hated my chubby cheeks, now that I’m older I’ve learned to embrace them and love what I have! Around Christmas time I learned how to contour and I was obsessed with how it looked, buuUuUuut after doing it almost everyday I noticed that I was breaking out. Growing up, I was one who was lucky enough to not really have bad acne.. so this was definitely upsetting and I didn’t know what to do! I would break out exactly where I applied the contour, it would be like a line of pimples! 🙅🏼🙅🏼🙅🏼 I was like heck no, I gotta stop this and figure out what’s going on with my skin.
So within the last month I’d say, I stopped contouring my face completely. I used a different face wash and luckily it has all cleared up! I’m so happy because breaking out is never fun. ☹ After doing some research on why I was breaking out, I came to the conclucsion that I didn’t properly remove my make-up at night because I wasn’t used to wearing it! Easy mistake for sure. I now make sure to scrub my face every single night, and so far it’s worked wonders for my skin! So ladies, I’m here to make a post about if I really think contouring is worth it!
As you can see, I don’t wear much make up, I like to keep my look natural because that’s just what I like on myself (also, I don’t know how to do anything fun with make-up 😂)
Here’s a couple before and after pictures of my face with the contour and with out it! What are your thoughts? Can you see a major difference in the contouring vs no contouring? Leave me your thoughts please please please, I’d love feedback on your experiences with contouring!
Overall: I still love contouring, I think it slims my face and helps shape it, but I only do it on special occasions now. I feel like the less make-up I wear, the better my skin is.
Ps. If you’re wondering what I use to contour, is the Anistasia light to medium kit. I loveeeeee it. 🙆🏼
Well, that’s all I have for this post today! Please share your feedback in the comment section or message me on my social medias. I’d love to hear opinions!! You’re all beautiful with or with out make-up, remember that.💛 Don’t forget to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment! I’ll be talking to you all soon. xoxo.💋
Stay chic,
Lexi 🌻

Okay I’ll find ya! And thank you 🙆🏼🙆🏼 it was pretty bad for awhile, but it’s back to normal!!
I wont write about which way is „better“ because everyone has it’s own preferences. So, If you like it – wear it. If you don’t like it – don’t wear it. If it makes you happier, wear it 🙂
It’s good that you find out what was the cause of your skin reacting and you could prevent it. Keep in mind that scrubbing is not that good either and should preferably be done once or twice a week as it could damage the skin if its done more often.
And because cream contouring takes more time (I’m not sure which one you use exactly, the powder or the creme kit, but just in case, I’m going to write it anyway 😀 ), you can try powder-contouring. It is much easier and if you put too much, you can always fix it with blending it out with some translucent or setting powder 🙂
