Hi hi hi loves! 🌸🌸🌸
How’s everyone doing today? Fabulous I hope! On today’s post I’m excited to share with you guys a way I find to be happier and it starts with what I’m eating! Fueling your body with good food will make you feel better and I’m an example of that! I, like many other college students, find it hard to eat healthy because it’s expensive and it’s simply easier and more time effective to eat on the unhealthy side with already made meals.
Recently, I’ve been trying to acquire a set time to prepare and pack a meal if I know I won’t be able to eat right unless I do so! For example, if I work until close, but don’t work more than six hours I only get a 15 minute break and same goes with if I had a night class for 5 hours. I’ve learned from experience that if I don’t prepare a meal or a snack, I’ll get something unhealthy out of the vending machine which really doesn’t even fill me up. I like to prepare something quick, easy, and healthy before hand to solve this problem! I’ve noticed that if I do this, I’ll feel energized and won’t be pigging out when I get home before bed because that’s not the best for your body! I took some photos of what I packed today to share with you all, feel free to let me know your thoughts!
For this little healthy on the go dinner, you don’t need heat to eat it, it’s easy to make, and inexpensive! Every food item purchased in this is from Aldi’s except for the peanut butter. I buy those at Giant Eagle for about $2 for a pack of 8! Also, my lunch bag is from Marshalls and all the containers and the water bottle came with it, and an ice pack. It was $25 and well worth it!
My meal includes:
- Salad (cheese, crutons, & Italian dressing)
- Celery & peanut butter
- Dove dark chocolate square
- Lemon water
All of this was filling and extremely yummy! It’s a healthier option rather than a drivethru, some frozen meal or something from the vending machine! As you can see, I added a little piece of dark chocolate to help fuel the sweet craving I normally have after a meal. Only allowing yourself a small amount with successfully fulfill that craving but it won’t hurt your body because you’re not over eating! 😋
I also have been keeping the book I’m currently reading in my bag so I read while I eat vs being on my phone. 📖 Ps. This book is such a good read! #GirlBoss
You cannot be successful and help others if you are sleep deprived, malnourished, or out of shape. Take care of yourself, mind and body. You’re happiness is the most important thing. Remember the five simple rules to be happy: Free your heart from hatred. Free your mind from worries. Live simply. Give more. Expect less. Simply train your mind to see the good in every situation not matter how crappy you think it may be. 💫
Wellll, there you have it. That’s all I have for this post! Don’t forget to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment! Be happy. I’ll be talking to you all soon. Happy eating! xoxo. 💋
Stay chic,
