Hey loves! 🌸🙆🏼
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend spent with their loved ones! I worked on Saturday and Sunday, but I had Monday off which was a good surprise since I didn’t request it off! Since my boyfriend and I have extremely busy schedules, it’s rare for us to both have days off and it to be actually nice outside since he’s doing landscaping for the summer. It definitely makes us appreciate our time together more, so it’s a good thing too! Luckily, Monday was an off day for both of us and it was BEAUTIFUL outside, I couldn’t of asked for a better day! We debated between a few things to do since we were excited, but decided on the Zoo which is one of my favorite places to go! It was sunny and hot, but I love hot weather so it didn’t bother me or the animals for that matter. This Zoo trip was actually one of the most active animal experience I’ve ever had. I’ll share my pictures of it below, but first let’s get into what I wore! 🌸
Romper: Target ($22.99)
Sandals: Target ($24.99)
Purse: MK
Sunnies: Boutique in Maryland
At first, when we decided to go to the Zoo I was stumped on what to wear. As you guys know, I loveeeeeeeeee dresses for almost everything, but I knew i’d want to be running around on the big slides and play area because I’m still a child, so I had to be practical. So if you’re anything like me, you’d agree that a romper was the way to go! They give the affect of a dress, but they cover all your goodies when your busy running around. You don’t have to worry about flashing someone! Plus, rompers are so comfortable and easy. You don’t have to worry about finding shorts or a shirt. It’s just an easy outfit that you’ll be seeing me wear a lot this summer! 🙆🏼🌸
I’m a very big fan of shirts/rompers/dresses that have a neckline like this one because I like for my chest area to be covered up for the most part and have my shoulders out. With necklines like this I can just wear bralettes and it looks so chic! My favorite part of strapless clothing is that my shoulders are out not so much the strapless bra, so I feel that I get the same effect but much comfier! Also, if you’re shaped like me with your waist being significantly smaller than your hips (ha ha ha the struggle 😂) I recommend rompers or dresses that cinche at the waist so it shows off your curve and smaller waist. I feel like outfits like this accent my body shape well! I paired it with some strappy sandals and a smaller cross-body purse, which is something i’d also recommend because while at the zoo you don’t want to be bothered by a large purse! Overall, if you’re planning trip to the Zoo and your confused on what to wear, I would recommend a romper so you can still look fab, but be comfy and able to run around like a kid!
Now, lets get into my Zoo pictures!
The Zoo is a perfect place to go to in the summer for a date idea too if you’re looking for something to do with your boyfriend, galfriend, best friend, whatever! Plus, it’s good to help get some psychical activity in as much as you can to be healthy and happy! I walked around 8,500 steps just from being at the zoo, it’s good to keep your body moving and your heart happy whiling having some fun too!
