Hi friends! ☕️🍂🍃
Happy Friday to you all! It’s been awhile since we’ve last talked and I bet you’re wondering what the heck happened to my blogging schedule as well as why the heck I went MIA on here?!?!? Wellllll, I have a little life update story for ya’ll so let’s enjoy this little coffee talk together!
Since the last time we talked I was telling you all how I just started my Thanksgiving break from school which I was soSOsoSOso excited for. Unfortunately not too long after we last talked I had to go to the emergency room for a sharp pain that came out of nowhere in my back. After I had a CT scan, I found out I was in the process of passing a kidney stone. Which was luckily nothing too serious, but the pain was excruciating and eating was almost impossible. I was bedridden for six days, need I say six very painful days. I left my house for about two hours on Thanksgiving to try to participate in the holiday, and I ate a little bit, but right after that I got sick and came straight home and went right back to my bed. I was so bummed I didn’t get to enjoy the most yummy yummy in my tummy day of the year! The kidney stones were good/bad timing. Luckily, I was on break so I didn’t had to miss more than one day of classes and one day of work, but I didn’t get to enjoy my break or complete the things I wanted/needed to.
I’ll share some photos I have from the past week and you can also see my sick bruise I have from my IV! Lol.
Although, y’all know how much I believe that everything happens for a reason and that things only happen to you because you can handle them. This entire situation and a few other personal ones that have happened in the past two weeks have definitely set me back emotionally and I thought writing this post could possibly help other people who feel like they’re trying their best, but things just aren’t working out the way they anticipated them to. After endearing these past two weeks, I have already seen myself grow immensely. If you’re feeling drained/overwhelmed/dejected, listen to me, don’t doubt yourself for a minute. My first day back to class, we discussed what motivates us everyday and it was just a reminder to myself why I’ve been working so hard in school, on my blog, in my life in general. Signs are everywhere, you just have to keep the negative thoughts back and allow your mind to see the positive in order to make it through these tougher situations that happen to us all. I kid you not, this mindset has helped me for many years and sometimes we all just need that little reminder here and there when we’re feeling dispirited.
Overall, I’m back to feeling like myself again. I have not yet passed my kidney stone, but I’m grateful to no longer be in pain. My classes end on the 12th and then finals. I have a lot of personal things going on as well. And if I can give my readers any advice it’s to take it one day at a time. I have no doubt in my mind that if I work hard daily that everything will work out exactly how it’s suppose to. As for my lack of posts, I hope you all understand why there weren’t any, but I do plan on being back to my usual Monday, Wednesday, And Friday schedule starting *fresh* next week! We’ve now entered the chilly month of December, so you know what that means! CHRISTMAS IS BASICALLY HERE!! Tis the season, amiright?!
Well that’s all for today’s post. Thank you so much for still reading and visiting while I was MIA and still keeping my stats up, my thankfulness for your support is endless. I love being able to be so personal and able to open up myself to anyone who is out there struggling with this little “coffee talk”. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment, I am more than happy to talk to you lovelies! I hope you all have the best weekend. Xoxo.

Lexi
