Hi loves! ❄️🌨☃️
Happy 2017! Holy crap I can’t believe it! I’m so glad to be ringing in the new year again with my WordPress friends. How’s everyones week going so far? I’m sitting here at my desk enjoying my first day off with absolutely nothing to do, I started it exactly the way I wanted to.. coffee, blog post, pjs, and did I say coffee? The sun is shinning in from my window, which is a nice change instead of those dreary sunless days throughout the winter which we normally get here in PA. I was thinking maybe to go out for a walk if the sun stays out to keep my cheerful mood up! What do you guys think?!
Anyways, I’m back with a new #ootd blog post. I took these photos a few weeks back and just haven’t had the time to sit down and enjoy writing a post since you know, the holidays can be so hectic. I truly love blogging so I never want to force a post unless I have time to enjoy writing it. I feel like a reader could see right through that forcefulness. I don’t know about you guys, but I have so many goals this year to accomplish and I can’t wait for you all to tackle the journey with me! 2017 will be a great year for all of us, I have no doubt in that. With a positive mindset, you’d be surprised what you’re capable of!
Alright, I’m done blabbering! Let’s get into the outfit, shall we!
Coat: Forever21 ($10.00)
Sweater: Forever21
Scarf: Aeropostale
Jeans: AEO
Boots: Macys
Purse: Fossil
As you can tell, there’s a little bit of snow on the ground and it kept falling throughout the day. My boyfriend and I went to an outdoor shopping mall/plaza near our area to do some Christmas shopping. The best thing I can recommend for days like this is to bundle up with some comfy layers. Cold isn’t cute, so make sure ya’ll stay warm! Also, blanket scarves are the way to go because they’re just coziness around you’re neck! I mean how can you not love them?! I struggle very much with staying warm and being able to enjoy the winter. But I’ve rounded up a few different strategies to get through these next few months (aka Pinterest and Youtube videos) that I’d love to share with ya’ll so we don’t have to struggle anymore! Lol. For this look, I loved how the sweater and boots have a tannish/brownish/vintage color going on. Since I wasn’t wearing any type of black which rarely happens, the navy scarf and jacket were a must, obviously! These boots are well made and definitely keep my little toes warm on those chilly nights, because once you’re feet get cold, you’re whole body freezes.
As for my hair and makeup, I didn’t really do much with my makeup as always, just enough to cover my imperfections! Then, I lightly curled the ends of my hair. It’s simple and easy to do while getting ready, but looks so darling with any outfit! Throughout the night the snow flakes kept falling at a slow rate, and luckily my hair seemed to stay intact. I can honestly say I didn’t mind the snow this night. All around the area Christmas lights were up, I of course got coffee to help stay warm and to feed my addiction. It was chilly outside, but the warm holiday feeling got me into the Christmas spirit for sure!
Also, as I’m sure you guys can all tell, my blogging post schedule has been a little whack and when school starts back up again in two weeks, I’ll be back on a normal routine that I’ll update you guys all on once I figure out what’ll work best with my schedule since my classes will now be Monday – Friday!
Well loves, that’s all for today’s post. My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment, I am more than happy to talk to you lovelies! Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you guys. Xoxo.
Stay chic,
Lexi
