Hi beauties!
Happy Friday to you all. I hope your week has been wonderful and full of positive thoughts. As you guys know, I’ve started my spring semester and just finished up my second week. Although, I can’t believe how fast the time is going, but it’s a good thing because the further I am in the semester, the more adapted I will be to a regular routine! I barely survived the first two weeks, but I can now say the spring semester is in full swing. Anyways, I’m so happy to be sitting here writing to you all again. I have a new #ootd that shows you a way to style one of the biggest trends this winter, the over the knee suede boots. I’m obsessed with mine! So without further ado, let’s jump right into the photos of the outfit.
Sweater: Target ($12.99)
Flannel: Forever 21 ($4.99)
Jeans: American Eagle ($50.00)
Boots: Marshalls ($39.99)
Ps. That’s my little dog in the background wondering what the heck I’m doing
Since being cold isn’t the least bit cute, I’ve done nothing but layered all my outfits these past few months. My favorite clothing items to layer are flannels and basic sweaters. Target and Forever 21 sell the perfect layering sweaters for very reasonable prices. They’re thin, plain, and have a wide neck, so you don’t have to worry about this style making you look lumpy and bumpy. The flannels perfectly lay underneath these sweaters. If you do feel like your flannel is riding up while trying to wear layering outfits, put a cami on top of your flannel but under the sweater. Forever 21 sells the perfect tanks for only $1.90.
As for my boots, I think this was on almost every girls Christmas list this year. Thigh-high boots are the perfect pairing for skinny jeans. A sweater and coat completes the look. You could slip them on under a leather pleated midi skirt and black blouse. You could try all-gray with a sweater dress and large cape-style coat. I’m obsessed with my boots and love styling them with all types of outfits, but we can hit a common problem with them. Sometimes over the knee boots can come off inappropriate, deepening on how they’re worn and in what setting. I think wearing them with some classic skinny blue jeans and then pairing that with a flannel and a sweater being layered overtop of one another, you can’t go wrong! This outfit looks professionally chic, perfect for a 20 year old college student. What do you all think?
