Hi, gals! 😊💛😊
How are you guys doing this week? Fab, I hope! I’m back with a new #ootd post for you gals! But before I get into it, I want to give you guys some background information on why I was wearing this outfit because it was a little out of my comfort zone! SOoOOoOo to get started, this past Saturday I was lucky enough to see my favorite artist, JoJo, live for the second time. She came to the city where I live a couple years back to perform at our annual Light Up Night for free and I was lucky enough to be able to see her then! This time, she performed at a small venue and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to simply because of it being general admission, it allowed this concert to be so personal and she very much interacted with her fans. The entire night was so much fun! She released a new album a few months back and I HIGHLY recommend it to you guys. Alright, well let’s get into the outfit!
Shirt: Rainbow ($9.99)
Leather Jacket: Rainbow ($19.99)
Pants: Wet Seal ($12.00ish)
Boots: Marshalls ($24.99)
Purse: Rainbow ($4.00)
Choker: Forever 21
I am very girly when it comes to how I dress, actually, I am very girly when it comes to just about everything. For this concert, I wanted to take my girliness, but pair it with something edgier for the concert. I thought a leather jacket would totally give me that edgy vibe I was looking for. So, it was approximately 4 hours before the concert and I was on the search for an inexpensive leather jacket. I checked 5 local stores and could not find anything to fit what I wanted. I didn’t have time to drive further to a nicer mall because my time management is terrible, so I had to go to my local mall. For the people who live near me and know our mall, they know what a ghost town it is. There are hardly any good stores in it, or more so, hardly in stores in it at all. It kinda gives off a creepy vibe if I’m being honest lol.
I checked JCPenney’s as a last resort and to my dismay, I left empty handed. As I was walking through the mall to leave, I walked passed a store with multiple leather jackets in their window and it completely caught my eye. The store was called Rainbow. So lemme start with saying I’ve never in my life even been in a Rainbow store before this Saturday, and I can honestly say I’m so happy I peeked in. I scored this adorable leather jacket for $19.99, like are you kidding me?! It was exactly what I was looking for, and then right next to it I found this lacy tank which was the perfect cross between edgy and girly for $9.99. I was so excited when I found this outfit within 10 minutes and the quality was way better than anything I saw at Marshalls, Kohls, or JCPenney’s and they price was to die for! As I was checking out, I found a darling cross body purse perfect for my phone, money, and keys for $4.00, like wow. I got so lucky! It just goes to show it never hurts to try a new store even if it’s not popular or trendy!
I went to pick up my friend after I found my outfit, we grabbed a coffee and food (of course), and then put on our makeup, did our hair and off we went!
Well loves, that’s all for today’s post. I hope you enjoyed and feel inspired to try a new store out of your comfort zone. My thankfulness for your support is endless.
