Hi, gals!
Happy Thursday and welcome back to Lexrayn.com. I’m so glad you’ve decided to stop by and read today’s post. I hope this week has been treating you gals well and you can use this post as a sense of comfort through your busy week. For today’s post, I’m going to share an outfit, a very very very worn outfit of mine from this spring semester. I like to keep it real with my readers, I have hardly worn anything other than leggings, a sweatshirt, and tennis shoes this entire semester, so I figured, it was about time to show y’all my recent favortie outfit, my every day college outfit – I know all my other college gals can relate to this outfit. I hope you enjoy!
Sweatshirt: Aerie ($10.00)
Leggings: Marshalls ($16.99)
Shoes: DSW – Adidas ($89.99)
Necklace: Forever 21 ($0.50)
I used to always say that dressing nicely for your classes was a good way to stay motivated throughout the semester, the whole “you feel better when you look better.” saying. I stuck by those words every year I’ve been in school until this semester. I still find them to be true, but I was looking for a compromise because I hate being cold in class. I’ve definitely shared with y’all how hard this semester has been, which may have something to do with me not wanting to get dressed up, but it’s also been a long-lasting winter here in PA. We, unlucky Pittsburgh-ers, haven’t seen much of the sun or any warm weather in months. This being so, I’ve adapted to a comfy athletic wear for most of my outfits, which is something I’ve never worn too much of. I’m obsessed with tennis shoes, work out leggings, and cute sweatshirts and vests this winter and very cold spring. They have been my go-to outfits since January and I highly recommend this style to anyone. It’s comfy but looks effortlessly cute and still somewhat put together! I’m not a big sweatpants girl, so this outfit is perfect. Trust me, it is way better to study in the library on a miserable winter day when you’re warm and comfy.
Also, if you want to make the outfit more on the girly side — pick a girly color, add a necklace or some simple earrings to make you feel more put together! Don’t worry though, there isn’t anyone more excited than me to start dressing in cute outfits again.. just holding my breath for the weather to finally break. Dresses and sandals will become my best friend again soon enough!
That’s all in today’s post. My thankfulness for your support is truly endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you guys now and always. Xoxo.
Stay chic,
Lexi 🌻🌻
