Hi, friends.
Welcome back loves. Today’s post is day 3 in the Lexmas series here on the blog. I’m so glad you decided to stop by! My Saturday morning has been filled with studying for my last two finals. I’m outlining the chapters in my sociology book and hoping for the best! Last nights “Friendsmas” that I mentioned in yesterday’s post was as fun as expected. We figured out last night that this was our 5th year celebrating friendsmas in a row! As for tonight, I’m getting ready for another Christmas party which should also be fun, but I wanted to hop on here and get Lexmas day 3 up before I go and take a shower for the night. So without further ado, let’s get into today’s OOTD!
Vest: Christopher and Banks
Bodysuit: Marshalls ($12.99)
Jeans: Forever 21 ($17.90)
Boots: Burlington ($49.99)
SO… The story behind this wrap vest… I was shopping at the mall with my sister in the beginning of November. We walked past a store I’ve never been in (mostly because it was for older women) and this vest was on a mannequin. As we all know, I’ve been obsessed with plain lately, so it completely caught my eye. I thought it would be adorable around the holidays and would be a great way to dress warmly during a night out, but since it had the wrap waist, it would not look bulky and fit my figure nicely! I literally ran into the store to buy it, but when I saw the price, I left the store just as fast. It was $65 originally and I was like… that’s a no from me. I knew I didn’t need the vest, but wow did I want it. I did the adult thing and passed it up.
UNTIL
A few weeks later when their black Friday sale hit that I saw it went down to $25 and there was one left in my size, it was meant to be. I was completely content with paying that price, it was well worth it and I’ve already worn it three times since and received so many compliments! It’s such a perfect winter piece.
Well, that’s all in today’s post. My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment. ’tis the season, friends. I’ll see y’all tomorrow. Xoxo.
Happy Lexmas! 🎄❤️
