Hi friends.
It’s a beautiful Saturday afternoon and I couldn’t be happier, the sun is shining and that just sets the mood for a good day if you ask me. In my previous blog post, I told y’all how I was going to a concert on Thursday and GALS I had so much fun. It’s the official start of concert season and I’m all for it. Maren Morris is a great performer and I highly recommend seeing her live! There is nothing better than singing along to one of your favorite artists with your favorite people. So, grab yourself a cup of something caffeinated and enjoy today’s blog post because I’m too in love with my outfit not to share it with you gals. Xo.
Top, Pants, Cardigan, Shoes, Purse
So not only was this concert absolutely amazing, but this outfit was perfect for the event. After all, when it comes to concert-going, a genre-appropriate look is almost as important as the music. Maren Morris is a country singer, but I’d say she’s has a good pop/country mix to her so you can take this outfit so many different ways. Of course, there are a few other factors to consider when seeking a perfect outfit for a night of endless dancing. You need to make sure you will be able to dance, possibly walk long distances, and brave the elements if the concert is outdoors.
Originally, I had planned on wearing a dress, but the weather was a bit chillier than it had been and it was raining. The concert was indoors luckily, so I opted for this two-piece set instead of a dress. Not only is it a fun little set, I felt so comfy and confident in this outfit. I’m glad I reached in my closet for this instead of my original dress idea. I wore espadrilles which I recommend over any other shoe for a night out regardless of what you’re doing, it gives you height without the *annoyingness* of wearing heels. This two-piece set was the perfect match for a rainy night out in Pittsburgh. I’m absolutely loving the wide leg pants trend this season, especially since they’re usually cropped and a short girl like me can wear them without having to think twice. I’m so excited to pair these pants with other outfits throughout the spring, summer, and heck even into the fall.
For those of you who are about to tackle concert season too (or anything really), definitely think about investing in a good clear bag that is stadium approved. I grabbed this one off amazon and I’m so glad that I did. It’s prime, under $15 and actually kinda cute with the details on it. It’ll be perfect for so many things this summer!
I had the day of the concert off from school and work and my hair needed its highlights redone so luckily my sister was able to squeeze me in and honestly I’m obsessed with the way my hair turned out this time (like always) but this is such a good shade of blonde. So if any of y’all are in the PGH area and need your hair done, don’t be afraid to reach out to my sister Autumn!
Well, that’s all for today’s post. My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you guys. Xo.
Stay chic,
Lexi 🌻🌻
