Hi, friends.
I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend. This was my first three day weekend since working a big girl job and I have to admit it was much appreciated. Having that extra Monday off allowed me to sleep in one more day and I don’t know how anyone could complain about that. On Monday as a last minute thing, I put together some tasty treats for a cookout. They’d be perfect for anyone who 1) can’t cook (ME) 2) doesn’t have a lot of time. With the Fourth of July being around the corner, these would be perfect for y’all to try. So grab yourself a cup of something warm, preferably caffeinated and enjoy!
MDW Trail Mix
Red White and Blue M&Ms, Pretzels, licorice, Muddy Mix, and peanuts
Grab yourself a container with a lid, throw them all in there and mix it up! It’s SO simple. I put little flags (thank you Target Dollar section) in the bowl to make it more festive. Super yum and simple!
MDW Pretzel Treats
Pretzels, Dove Chocolate Squares, red White and Blue M&Ms.
I used some of the same ingredients for the trail mix, which was perfect because there’s always extra. I put the pretzels on a baking sheet, place the unwrapped chocolate on the pretzel. You then pop them in the oven for a couple minutes until you see the chocolate start to melt, take them out and put the M&Ms on them — pop them in the fridge to cool for a little annnnd that’s it. Again, SO simple and delicious!
As for my outfit, I wore this adorable Tee from ThingsSheLoves. They sent it to me just in time for MDW and I was too excited to wear it and snap a pic (and clearly so was JuJu). I paired it with a pair of jean shorts and a cardigan — too perfect!
Well, that’s all for today’s post. As I mentioned earlier, I did start my internship and will be sharing my outfits of the week; So stay tuned! My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment.
Xoxo,
