Is there anything better than walking through the doors of your favorite bakery and taking in the aroma of warm, freshly baked sweet pastries? I think we can all agree that there isn’t! The Pittsburgh bakery scene is and always has been booming, but there’s something about walking into a local bakery that makes you feel at home. Pittsburgh is filled with intimate, locally-owned bakeries that give your sweet tooth the respect it deserves. So, when you need your sugar fix, you’ll have no trouble finding that quality baked good. However, with so many delicious baked goods available in Pittsburgh, it’s hard to choose which bakery to visit. Lucky for you gals, I have it covered!
Today on the blog I’m sharing one of my favorite local bakeries that I know you’ll all love. Barton’s Flowers & Bake Shop has been dishing out some of the best pastries we have ever tasted since 1982. They have served the Elizabeth community for nearly thirty-seven years. So, needless to say, it’s pretty darn good.
They are known for their handmade custom designed and decorated cut-out sugar cookies. These cookies are not only eye appealing but delicious too. They’re perfect for all celebrations from birthdays, baby announcements, commencements to every holiday celebration you can think of. The huge hearts of Barton’s Flowers & Bake Shop are represented through every single baked good and they stand by their motto “Love is at the heart of our business.”
