Hi, friends.
It’s a cozy Thursday afternoon here in PA, full of heavy rain showers but I don’t mind because I’m not planning on leaving the house at all today. It’s peaceful hearing the rainfall while finishing up exams. I’m sitting snuggled up on my couch while typing away while sipping my freshly brewed coffee that was poured into my favorite home sweet home mug with a candle lit, of course. I just completed two out of my three finals today and I can’t explain the relief I feel after finishing them. I can’t believe another semester is in the books, degree #2 is getting closer and closer. Aside from my school work, online shopping has been my favorite thing to do, so get your mugs ready, and let’s hop into my favorite shoe buy of the season.
Outfit Details: Jeans, Top, Shoes, Purse
DSW recently had 50% off name brand shoes and after a quick facetime call from my friend telling me about the sale, we both immediately added these Lucky Brand Espadrilles to our carts, along with 3 other pairs of shoes. I mean, come on, the sale was too good. Upon trying them on with practically everything in my closet, I have to tell y’all that they are so good. I’m surprised at how perfect they look with every combination I’ve paired them with thus far, from floral skirts and white tees to sundresses and denim cutoffs. They’re perfect. Do yourself a favor and get these shoes for summer, you won’t be disappointed.
It has been quite a while since I’ve brought a “typical” outfit post to LexRayn. These are my favorite posts to write and they always get the highest amount of views. However, I think the reality is that the thought of heading outdoors to shoot fun spring looks, even outside in your own local park, like I did in this post, feels a bit odd, to say the least. I’m staying at home as much as possible for my safety and yours, but there are times I do need to leave the house for essential things. I find that putting on a pair of jeans for a change helps bring in a feeling of normalcy, even if you have to finish off the look with a mask. I notice after too many days being in the house alone, I start feeling stuck in a funk and I think it’s important to get out when this happens. Whether it be a walk, sitting out on my porch while drinking my coffee, riding a bike, or just getting some groceries, it’s a key to maintain a safe balance during this time of uncertainty. It’s the little things that will help us all get through this and I’m happy that a pair of jeans and my new Lucky Brand espadrilles give me that feeling.
