How to style a book shelf #DIY πŸ™†πŸΌπŸ’›πŸŽ€πŸŒΈ

Hi hi hi loves! πŸ’›

Gosh, it’s been another busy few days! I “clopened” the past two days and I’m exhausted!! Since Spring is around the corner I decided to do a little rearranging to my book shelf in my bedroom. This is something I always loved to do because I find organizing and rearranging very relaxing. With that being said, I thought it would be a good idea to share my tips and tricks on how I styled and organized my book shelf with you guys. Let’s get started! 🌸

First, start with the books. Spread them out through out the shelves, don’t keep them all on one spot. Put some in the middle, some on the left and right sides! Lay them on their sides, do whatever will work best!

Second, add pictures frames! You can either have pictures in them or print out some of your favorite quotes. Picture frames are such a cute way to decorate anything, plus they’re super affordable on college student budget!

Third, add knickknacks! I have many different ones through out my shelves. They’re either ones I’ve made or ones I’ve bought over time, I usually buy mine at either Marshalls or Burlington. You can get really creative with this, I used an old candle’s glass jar and put some colorful gum balls in it for decoration! Just feeeeel your creative side! πŸŒΈπŸ™†πŸΌ

Fourth, add candles and some fake flowers or plants! This helps bring some color to the shelves for sure. πŸŒ»πŸŒΈπŸ’ Plus who doesn’t love flowers and candles?!

Fifth, add some Perfumes / body sprays! They’re a great way to decorate shelves if the shelves are in a bedroom! I always put mine on my book shelf because I don’t have anywhere else in my room to put them. #smallbedroomprobz πŸ˜‚

Tip: Do yourself a favor and get rid of any junk and don’t over clutter! Keep a small open space between the objects. I have a tendency to keep things I don’t need, but sometimes it’s better to get rid of them and say adios. Also, I usually like to clean and wipe down everything before I reorganize it just so there’s not dust all over the place!

Well, that’s all I have for this post today! Best of luck to anyone who plans on spring cleaning their book shelves like I did. πŸ’› If you want to know where anything on my bookshelf is from, just ask! Don’t forget to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment! I’ll be talking to you all soon. xoxo.πŸ’‹

Stay chic,

Lexi 🌻
