Let’s learn to de-stress

Happy Tuesday my fellow viewers! What’s been happening? With finals approaching and summer break being right around the corner, I thought I would make a blog post all about how I have learned to lessen the stress of life on myself! These tips are what work for me and I highly recommend them to you guys. Try them out and let me know whatcha think!

1. Read A Book. 

Get comfy. Sit down in a quiet place.. your bedroom, a coffee shop, outside, etc. and read that book that you’ve been wanting to read for some time now.. The one you keep putting off. Go read it, you won’t regret it! If you’re someone who doesn’t like reading books, go pick up some new magazines. Relax your mind by filling it with things that don’t have to do with school, work, family drama, etc. 

2. Have a Netflix and chill night… With yourself!

YEEEEEES. These kind of nights are my absolute favorite. Start it out by lighting some candles. Then make some hot tea. Get comfy and cozy. Look through and start a new TV series! There are so many good ones on Netflix. Trust me, this is SO relaxing to do. Your mind goes into the shows and you can ease your life stresses for a little while on some Gossip Girl. 

3. Go for a run/walk. 

This is good for you mentally and physically. It can’t get much better than that! It’s so calming yet exhilarating to put your headphones in, blast your favorite song and just go for a run. You feel free in so many different ways. The runners high 😋

   4. Go shopping. 

I lovelovelovelovelove buying new things. If you ask me, everyone needs a little retail therapy in their life every once in a while. You feel good and look good 😉 They’re are always so many good deals going on, you just gotta look! With that being said, you don’t have to spend a lot of money at all. 

5. Take the day off.

If you feel a weight on your chest, one that makes it hard to breathe, one that makes you shake because you’ve been so overwhelmed. Take a personal day. I can’t stress this enough. Nothing is more important in this life than being happy. Do whatever you want on this day off. Take a bath, take a long long long nap, watch youtube videos, DIY. My perosnal favorite thing to do is get a gal pal and go get breakfast/coffee and just talk about things. We all need days like this and it’s okay. Don’t feel bad about it, you’ve worked so hard you deserve it!



Listen guys, It’s about living in the moment and appreciating the smallest things. Surrounding yourself with the things that inspire you and letting go of the obsessions that want to take over your mind. Don’t allow the negativity to break in. It is a daily struggle sometimes and hard work but happiness begins with your own attitude and how you look at the world. When you focus on problems, you’ll have more problems. When you focus on possibilities, you’ll have more opportunities. Do you see what I’m saying? Don’t be afraid to stop doing things that no longer make you happy. Don’t be afraid to cut out people who put you down. It’s your life, take charge. Breathe. Relax.
