Hi, gals!
Happy Friday! I hope everyone had a good week. I just submitted my last assignment for the summer (!!!) and now I’m snacking on some popcorn and drinking some tea, listening to some old Taylor Swift. I have a break from school for 10 days and I’ll be turning 21 on Thursday. It’s going to be a good week!
I’m glad you stopped by because for today’s post, I’m sharing a little #DIY secret to help you guys become better at using a planner for the Fall semester. I know I can’t be the only person who has full intentions on using my planner every day during the semester but some how, I’ll have a few days slip up on me and I’ll forget to write my assignments down before I leave that class. If you’re like me, then keep on scrolling and see what I have found to help me!
What you’ll need:
Excel
Printer
Scissors
Planner
Clear Tape
It’s very simple. I’d like to call this “pre-labeling” spots for each class for the semester ahead of time. I opened up an Excel spread sheet and typed out all my class for the upcoming semester. I used the fill-handle to make multiple copies of each on the spreadsheet. I sorted them all by different colors and then printed them out with the grid lines showing so it would be easier to cut. I then cut them out on the lines and separated them into piles by class. Then, I lined up every class name to the day I would be having it and taped them down with crystal clear tape to make sure I’d be able to see the labels clearly.
This #DIY is very self-explanatory and inexpensive! In my eyes, having my planner already labeled for each class will save me the time when it comes to rewriting the class name every day and ensure that I have a spot for every class to help me to remember to write in it down as soon as my class is about to end for the day. Even if I don’t have anything to do that night for a course, I’ll be able to write “no assignments” next to the name of the class instead of just leaving it blank in my planner. Before I know it, It’ll turn into a good habit. It’s kinda silly but very helpful in the long run!
