Hi, friends.
Happy Wednesday! Can Y’all believe Halloween is next week? I know I sure can’t. October is one of the best months of the year and it flies by. I still have so many sp[ooky things I want to do before Halloween is over! I still haven’t even decided what I’m going to be for Halloween, but I’ll be figuring it out before the weekend.. aka Halloweekend. In honor of today’s LEXTOBER post #11, I’m going to share an outfit inspired by my favorite Halloween movie as a kid, Halloweentown! There are 4 movies in the series and I was absolutely obsessed with them all. I always wished I was secretly a witch like Marnie Piper, but obviously, I’m not or maybe I was and my mom hid my powers from me and they were lost for good at age 13! ~ wishful thinking~ I guess I can always just pretend by pulling out my “Witch Please” long sleeve tee, my cape, a black hat, and some buckled booties! I love how these photos turned out and I hope y’all do too.
Shirt: Sam’s Club ($11.00)
Cape: Amazon ($15.00)
Jeans: American Eagle
Boots: Gabe’s ($9.99)
We’ve seen it here and there over the past couple of autumns, but this season it’s officially making its grand entrance into the outerwear scene in a major way. I for one, could not be more excited! Let’s give a warm welcome to my favorite outerwear piece this season… the cape! Capes are such a huge trend this fall season and I’m all for it. This black and red one screams fall time to me, plus it’s incredibly soft, super high quality and absolutely classic… one that is definitely worth having in your closet! As for these black jeans? Every girl needs a pair! When I passed by this tee shirt at Sam’s Club, I knew I had to have it for the Halloween season. It’s long and flowy so it could go perfectly with leggings too.
My inner Marnie Piper definitely came out with this look and this outfit could easily be recreated into a costume. Best part is, you probably already have something similar to it in your closet! We’ve been getting spooky around here for quite some time so I hope y’all enjoyed this Halloweentown themed post and feel inspired to bring out your inner Marnie Piper too!
Well, that’s all in today’s post. My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. Stay chic,
