Hi, friends.
Welcome back or welcome if you’re new here. I’m Lex and I’m so happy you’ve stopped by. I’ll be the first to say all this time spent social distancing has given me a new love for my home. You know what I mean, walks around the neighborhood, evenings on the porch, small projects completed… I’ve done my best to take advantage of the extra time on my hands. And while I’ve loved every second of soaking up this slower pace, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to traveling. So, this past week, my friend and I decided to pack our bags and head down to St. Pete Beach, Florida. My sister was already down there at our cousin’s beach house, so it was perfect timing. We had the time of our lives and it was definitely a trip that was needed for both of us.
Since the state I live in started reopening about a month before my trip, I was able to shop around and pick up a ton of deals on summer dresses, swimsuits, and shoes! I went a little crazy on all the things I bought, but I didn’t break the bank because I found so many dresses from $4 – $7! The problem? I have no self-control and bought a ton, but they came in handy with my problem of overpacking. With that being said, I’m here to share some of my favorite outfits from my trip with you gals!

Overall, St. Pete Beach was a great experience and I can’t wait to go back! I stayed at the Dolphin Beach Resort, which was wonderful and I would highly recommend it. I constantly saw their staff cleaning the pool area, rooms, hallways, everything. The pool centered around the rooms and the beach was just a few steps away, same with their tiki bar. The sand was perfectly white, hot sunshine every single day, with a clear ocean that felt like bathwater when you ran in. And y’all, the sunsets were to die for. While traveling, we Lysoled the room, wiped everything down regularly, wore our masks, and socially distanced the entire time. The area I was in has significantly fewer cases than my hometown, I felt very safe and am doing my social responsibly post-arrival home. I know times are a little strange right now but do your research and so your best for what you believe is right for you and your life. My county is starting to close things back up, we all just need to do our part to help others.
Well, friends. That’s all I have for today’s post. I linked everything I could so get yourself some of these deals! My thankfulness for your support is endless. Don’t forget to leave links to your blogs and instas, as I would love to check them out and follow you all and connect more. As always, feel free to shoot me a message with blog requests, to chat, or share a simple comment. Sending lots of love and positive thoughts to you guys now and always.
All my love,
